Katherine, NT
President Joanna Holden has warmly welcomed the community to the 2026 Katherine Show and Rodeo, marking a significant year as the region celebrates its 100-year centenary.
“On behalf of the Katherine District Show Society, it is my great pleasure to welcome everyone to the 2026 Katherine Show and Rodeo,” Ms Holden said. “This year carries special meaning for our town as we reflect on a century of community, connection and agriculture that has shaped Katherine into what it is today.”
Embracing the theme “Peanuts – Celebrating 100 Years of Agriculture,” the 2026 Show pays tribute to the land, the people and the enduring spirit of the region’s farming heritage. Ms Holden noted that the Show remains a proud tradition, bringing together families, local businesses, volunteers and visitors from across the Territory.
“After the challenges our community has faced, including the recent flooding and extreme weather, this year’s Show is an opportunity to come together, support one another and celebrate our resilience,” she said. “There is something incredibly special about seeing our community reconnect, share stories and create new memories.”
Set for 17–18 July 2026, the Katherine Show and Rodeo will once again deliver a vibrant program of competitions, entertainment and experiences for all ages.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Showgrounds this July,” Ms Holden said. “It is a time to celebrate our past, embrace our present and look forward to a bright future together.”
